About Me

When you have brown parents, you are given two options. Either become a doctor or a lawyer. I spent my entire life pursuing medicine as my career but never really finding any passion in the field. But I always did well in my classes and thought, if I am doing good then I might as well keep doing it. It wasn't until I had to get jobs to help pay for school that I discovered new interests. I have spent 7+ years running a business and 5+ years working in the restaurant world where I acquired many skills.

Both jobs started normally but eventually I'd move my way up the ladder. Each and every job led to a point where I was trusted behind a computer to "do things". From this, I learned how to maintain a database with all employee information as well as handling the POS and CRM systems. I've hired and interviewed employees based off software integrated into the system.

All this lead to my growing as a person and realizing that treating patients and doing paperwork all day wasn't what I was meant to do. I enjoyed learning new things and finding myself stuck on solving problems. It wasn't until I started coding that I found this interesting feeling where I'd be frustrated not knowing how to solve something until I solve it and feel that gratifying moment of happiness.

Although, I've been coding for a short time, here are a few projects I am proud of presenting. Not because they are well made but because of how in a short time I was able to making something that kinda works.

All In One Health

A mock website I created using HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP and bootstrap. I had a vision of creating a fully responsive website that would allow someone to order healthcare related services using mock versions of telli health, uber, yelp, and instacart.

NotWordle

My first project using the first language I learned, python. The goal of this was to copy the popular game Worldle using python only and specifically the Turtle Module. I then attempted to create a Wordle Solver which is included as well using a limited word bank.
